Proud Partner of Choose Chicago!

The Neighborhood Hotel team is proud to partner with Choose Chicago®! We have tremendous gratitude for Choose Chicago as they’re the official destination marketing organization for Chicago, Illinois.

Choose Chicago’s Mission?

To enrich the community by attracting meetings, events and leisure travelers to Chicago.

Choose Chicago’s Vision?

To elevate the brand of Chicago as a must-experience global destination.

The Neighborhood Hotel is proud to partner with such a dynamic organization (Choose Chicago) and appreciate the personal and business relationships that we’ve developed through Choose Chicago events and marketing opportunities. We’re constantly reminded that Chicago is an incredible city with so many innovative companies and people. It’s not a surprise that Condé Nast Traveler readers voted Chicago the Best Big City in the country for seven years in a row!

At a recent Choose Chicago partner event, The Neighborhood Hotel gathered with several other partners/innovative businesses in Chicago. It was truly a room full of inspiration and a tremendous reflection of the abundance that Chicago has to offer. At the event, we met business owners that we’re excited to collaborate with, like Luis Tubens, co-founder of the Pilsen Public Art Tours [who studied under legendary muralist, Jose Guerrero]. Luis has given thousands of tours that explore the iconic murals throughout Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood [just a few minutes from The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy]. His background includes 10 years at the National Museum of Mexican Art where he worked as an art educator. Luis then went on to become the outreach coordinator for then, 7th District Cook County Commissioner, Jesús “Chuy” García. When Luis is not giving outstanding tours, he works as a performance artist!

We also connected with one of our favorite places: Eataly Chicago! Eataly stands for “Eating Italian,” which encompasses the history and the food culture of Italy. In November 2002, the Eataly concept rose from Oscar Farinetti’s idea that he sketched on a piece of paper. The idea was simple: to sell high-quality food at sustainable and reasonable prices for ALL, celebrate Italian biodiversity, and create an informal, natural, and simple place to eat, shop, and learn. After five years of research and dedication, the first Eataly opened in Torino on 2007, when an old vermouth factory was transformed into Eataly Torino Lingotto – the very first multifunctional marketplace dedicated to Italian excellence in the world. Since then, Eataly has expanded to over 40 locations throughout Italy and the world. The NBHD team is always on the lookout for a great snack. And, we love a place that has excellent dine-in and take away options [they also deliver if you’re not in the mood to venture]. We love stories from guests about the meals they’ve prepared in The Neighborhood Hotel’s fully stocked kitchens. Eataly has all you need to create a delicious meal in the comfort of your suite! Bonus: they post recipes on their website if you need some pointers as you prep.

Our buildings have stories ingrained in the walls (in a non-creepy way) - stories that are meant to be told and shared. The Neighborhood Little Italy was formerly the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame which honored the greatest Italian-American athletes, broadcasters, and sports workers to benefit athletics in the United States. Once again, we've fallen for a space outfitted with cool history + architecture. Grateful to all of the hard workers and supporters who are turning another NEIGHBORHOOD HOTEL vision/dream into reality!
