Summer in the city is coming in HOT! We can’t wait for balmy evening strolls, refreshing dips in Lake Michigan and countless meals on glorious patios! Events and festivals are some of the best parts of summer in Chicago. The city is buzzing and we’re here for all of it! One of the most anticipated events of the season is the Democratic National Convention (DNC) happening from August 19-22 at the United Center

The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy is just a few minutes from the DNC festivities! We love The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy for the comfort and convenience. It’s moments away from all of the action yet provides the nurturing break you might need amidst the excitement.

The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy suites are equipped with full kitchens if you require a home cooked meal and in-suite washer/dryers if you need a wardrobe refresh. Looking to host a large group? Book all 35 suites [the hotel sleeps 138 people]!

Another concept we love is the seamless transition from Hotel to neighborhood. The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy is a deconstructed hotel in the sense that it utilizes all that the vibrant Little Italy neighborhood has to offer. So much in the realm of dining and culture is literally steps from the hotel! Let’s break it down by category.

Morning: Make a great cup of coffee with the MoccaMaster in your suite. Or, drift out onto Taylor Street and sip while you enjoy pancakes and eggs at Sweet Maple Cafe

Afternoon: Lunch is a sub from Conte di Savoia (across the street). Enjoy al fresco at nearby Peanut Park or in the piazza next door.

Evening: Enjoy a classic Italian dinner at Tufano’s Vernon Park Tap– a local favorite that has been around for decades. Sweet tooth? Stand in line at Mario’s Italian Lemonade — it’s worth it, trust us.

ART! Take a street art tour through Pilsen!

Stop at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum for a solid dose of culture and knowledge.

Stroll through the city streets and meander through the parks! Peanut Park is a local favorite.

Anywhere! Public transit is easy — trains, buses and a divvy dock are steps away.

Our buildings have stories ingrained in the walls (in a non-creepy way) - stories that are meant to be told and shared. The Neighborhood Little Italy was formerly the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame which honored the greatest Italian-American athletes, broadcasters, and sports workers to benefit athletics in the United States. Once again, we've fallen for a space outfitted with cool history + architecture. Grateful to all of the hard workers and supporters who are turning another NEIGHBORHOOD HOTEL vision/dream into reality!
