HOW WAS YOUR STAY @ THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOTEL LINCOLN PARK @CraftMonsterz?
@CraftMonsterz [Brittany Ouwinga] is mom to four boys. She enjoys sharing fun and easy activities that can be done with kids — everything from crafts to travels!
We had a wonderful stay at The Neighborhood Hotel Lincoln Park! It felt like we had our own apartment in Chicago! When we walked in, our kids were so excited to explore and said it was the best hotel they have ever stayed at. Traveling with 4 kids, ages 7 and under, can be overwhelming, so we really appreciated all of the space that the 2 bedroom unit provided. After visiting the SlooMoo Institute [yes, this is a museum dedicated to slime – your children with thank you] and the Chicago Children’s Museum [so wonderful and creative] we planned on checking out more of Chicago in the evening but decided to stay at the hotel instead and have a family game night because there was so much room. We grabbed food from the convenient Mexican restaurant across the road and made some great family memories. In the morning, we used our suite’s oven to bake cinnamon rolls. We had a great experience and can’t wait to check out more Neighborhood Hotel locations!

This year, we decided to skip town and head to The Neighborhood Hotel New Buffalo for an untraditional Thanksgiving! The local grocery store, Barney’s, is just a few blocks away which was great because the hotel has a fully equipped communal kitchen to accommodate a variety of meal prep (plus a grill in the backyard). If you’re not in the mood to cook there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. One of our favorites is Brewster’s which is directly across the street from the hotel! The New Buffalo Library is just a few blocks away which is super convenient. In addition to books, they offer a variety of activities for kids. The communal backyard at the hotel is perfect for unwinding or making s’mores at the fire pit [bonus: the hotel provides a full s’mores set up!] We had so many indoor and outdoor options during our time at the hotel. We loved crafting and playing games inside plus sledding and walking around outside!

We loved our stay at The Neighborhood Hotel Little Italy as a family of 5. We loved the 2 bedroom suite as it was very spacious, clean and comfortable for our family. Our suite had a fully equipped kitchen which made breakfast and snack time easy with kids. We travelled light because we were able to utilize the washer and dryer in our suite. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were soft as well. The location is super convenient. The hotel is in the heart of the Little Italy neighborhood with many coffee shops, convenient stores and restaurants all right there. It is also a short drive to Chicago’s top attractions such as Millennium Park, Chinatown, the Field Museum and Museum of Science and Industry. Guests can also book a room with a balcony which is perfect for viewing the beautiful Chicago skyline and sunset/sunrise views. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re traveling to Chicago!
